The government programs "Cash for Clunkers" has been running for one week. In that time, it has been successful but now there are reports that the government may suspend it because they are running out of money and they did not plan for the success.
How would you like to be on the operating table if the government takes over health care? So far the stimulus package did not work as they planned, cash for clunkers has worked but they can't handle success and now they want to take over health care.
Maybe they should just concentrate of fixing the economy (or getting out of the way of the economy).
You NEED to watch this. No matter what your politics, you need to watch this so that you understand that there are consequences to the idiotic things that they do in Washington DC. They do effect our lives and we need to get rid of the bums that were responsible for this mess.
The has-been media refuse to report these facts. There are no journalists left at the NY Times or Newsweak, or CNN, or CBS or any of the major networks. It's a shame but it's true. The days of tough, independent minded journalists who would dig to find a story are over. Now we have lame media who hang out together and all want to be accepted by each other. That's why for awhile "gravitas" was the word of one election, but now they don't use it. That's why when you hear one false story on one network, it will be repeated on another, even though it's been proven false online already.
They can no longer be trusted. It's a shame.
So invest 11 minutes of your life, and if you have more time, google the information, do your own research and decide if what is reported here is true or not. Thanks to the internet, you no longer have to be anybody's useful idiot. Decide for yourself!
A lot is being written about the recent failures of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Recently Newsweek writer and NJ resident Jonathan Alter tried to blame McCain and tie him in to the Keating 5 scandal. Unfortunately for Mr. Alter, anyone with access to a computer knows that McCain was cleared of any wrongdoing and even Ann Coulter wrote a more accurate piece than Jonathan which is sad but typical of the Newsweak, NY Times "journalist" lately. When people become desperate partisans for any one candidate, they lose their ability to do their jobs as journalists and all think that they're Rush Limbaugh.
Frank Raines is working on Senator Obama's campaign and the "has-been" media refuses to report the tie-in, but you can watch this video and decide for yourself what is and is not true.
"Look, the fact is that if Barack Obama's policy on Iraq had been implemented, Barack Obama couldn't go to Iraq today."
Is that fair? Is it because President Bush went ahead with the "surge" when the Democrats said the war was already lost that now it's safe to go to Iraq?
Recently, a NASA scientist, Dr. James Hansen said that Global Warming deniers, CEO's of fossil fuel companies should be tried for "crimes against humanity". So the people who provide you with the gas for your car, or the gas for the bus that gets you to work everyday, or the fuel that gets food to the grocery store so you can eat, should be tried for crimes against humanity. But what about the folks that believe in global warming but continue to fly private jets, drive SUV's and get driven around in limo's? For example, when some Hollywood star or rock star comes out against global warming and preaches to us how we should live, that's great, but when Sheryl Crowe goes on tour, the trucks that carry her equipment, (not her bio-diesel tour bus) use more fossil fuel for one tour than the average American uses in a year. Then if you add all the carbon produced by the folks sitting in traffic trying to get to the arena's and stadiums, shouldn't these people give up touring and just do one pay per view concert we could all watch on TV? Okay, they'd make less money but they could still make over $100,000 working one day per year.
What about Al Gore? Why does he have to fly on private jets and then drive in three cars to give his speeches. Can't he just do a video conference from his Apple MacBook at home for free? Does he need to make $300,000,000 per year and generate a larger carbon footprint than 100,000 Americans combined?
See, I don't know about you, but I have trouble taking health advice from a fat, chain smoking doctor, who tells me that I need to exercise, eat right and quit smoking. "Gee, Doc, do you really believe that?"
Does Al Gore really believe in Global Warming? Is he just making a profit? If he believes it, why isn't he doing anything about it? My house was solar powered 5 years before Al Gore's house.
This raises a huge question of credibility. Read this article in USA today to get more information. Go here.
As we look back and remember the men who took back Europe and freed a continent on D-day, 64 years ago and while our men and women are freeing the Iraqi people from the tyranny that they have lived under their entire lives and fighting Islamic terrorists lets take 9 minutes to watch Ronald Reagan's speech and honor the men of D-day.
President Ronald Reagans Speech at Point-du-Hoc, Normandy
The NY Post has an op/ed column today that says NJ has one of the worst governments in the country but pays some of the highest taxes in the country.
They start out saying... "March 10, 2008 -- WHEN New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine an nounced his slim med- down budget recently, he said that the state could no longer afford the government that it now has. What he didn't say is that this government isn't just expensive, it's also mismanaged and ineffective.
That is, New Jerseyans pay some of the country's highest taxes to get one of the country's worst governments."
Watch this campaign video for Barack Obama. Whether you support this man or not, the message in this video is very inspiring and it is a great reminder of what we, as Americans can do when we remember what we have in common, instead of focusing on what tears us apart. Go Vote!
